2B Dustin Pedroia had a CT scan of his broken left foot early Friday
afternoon and was told by doctors that he could toss away the crutches and
begin putting weight back on the foot. Pedroia is still wearing a protective
boot on his foot and can only do baseball activities -- like take light
batting practice -- while still wearing the boot on his foot. The boot will
remain on his left foot for another 10 days to two weeks, and Pedroia's
condition will be re-evaluated when the boot potentially comes off after the
West Coast trip. "What I'm kind of worried about is that he's going to try
and do too much," manager Terry Francona said. "The doctors are actually
relying on him a little bit, which scares everybody. If it's sore, he's got
to back off. Getting an honest answer out of him is tough. He's in there now
getting fitted for a shoe that's got some padding on it. All the qualities
that we love in him, we don't want him to hurt himself."\
Pedroia做了CT上個禮拜五, 醫生說他可以離開拐杖, 並且開始復建他的腳.
Pedroia還是要穿著他的固定靴做一些棒球活動, 像是輕微的打擊練習. 那復健靴子
還是必須多穿個10來天到2個禮拜. 他的狀態必須在之後在做復檢.
教練還是擔心他會練太多, 不過醫生覺得還是相信他會好好照顧自己.
