[傷兵] Berkman
Jul 23 Berkman (calf) was placed on the 15-day disabled list on Thursday,
the Houston Chronicle reports.
Recommendation:Back news for Berkman and the Astros, who have been surging as of
late. Berkman has been battling a nagging Grade-2 calf strain,
and the Astros don't want to risk further injury. "Right now it's
a nagging thing that should resolve in the short term," Astros
general manager Ed Wade said. "If we were in late September then
our approach might be different." Don't expect Berkman to miss
much more than the minimum 15 days. Chris Coste started at first
Wednesday and should see additional at-bats with Berkman out.
