Reyes (hamstring) was involved in a car accident with a firetruck on Monday
evening, however no one was injured, the Newark Star-Ledger reports.
Recommendation: Reyes was on his way to the hospital for a check-up visit
along with Mets trainer Ray Ramirez when the car was rear-ended by a
firetruck. The most noteworthy part of this story is that Reyes tried to hide
the incident from Mets management, who found out only when pitcher Tim
Redding accidentally mentioned it.
