I second that. Living in germany I feel that many people are even used to their good ol' analog phone lines. And since broadband here is called "DSL" we need phone lines anyway. So the only reason to call classic telephone services would be to use the freed frequency to extend the bandwith available to DSL. And I don't see that happen anytime soon. On the contrary, with all the investments in wireless technologies I think that ISDN will stay for several years. Personally I like having a good, solid backup when DSL goes down.
