This is working for me on my C2D:
sysctl hw.coretemp
hw.coretemp.tjmax: 100
hw.coretemp.delta: -42
hw.coretemp.interrupt: 9954320
hw.coretemp.status: 2284454592
That temp agrees with the one reported by wmbsdbatt, for what that's
worth.
