The above message says nothing about the example being broken under default circumstances; that is, letting sysinstall create the partitions automatically results in /home being a symlink to /usr/home. Based upon the text you quoted above a user knows that putting jails anywhere is acceptable but they don't know that putting them anywhere with a symlink in the path is not.
