(2)The little girl made her first English speech with fluency. 然後用關代代替重複fluency合併起來的時候，with提前所以就出現了with which了另外這裡的with可以翻成"用"或"以" with fluency算是慣用搭配只要看出這點，要選對不難 : 3.The sick man------sake you are doing all this work ought to be very : grateful to you. : (A)for whom (B)for whose (C)of whom (D)of whose : 答案:(B),為何不可選(A)? 首先for one's sake的片語的意思是為了什麼人接著一樣還原成兩句 (1)The sick man ought to be very grateful to you. (2)You are doing all this work for the sick man's sake. 這裡的關代要用whose因為重複的地方有"所有格"喔然後再把for whose sake一起往前移選項A沒有所有格所以錯了 : 4.All history confirms the doctrine that-----rely upon the sword shall perish : by it. : (A)those who (B)if we (C)however we : 答案:(A),該題不明白為何選(A)!! 偷懶的解題法~ 本題的that子句中如果你選了B或C選項都會讓這個子句多了一個連接詞，卻沒連接另一句也就是if和however(這裡=no matter how)的連接詞功能錯了選A的those who就是people who阿~所以who rely upon the sword是that子句中的關代子句，是合理的 : 5.She has been suffering from a kind of disease------. : (A)the cure for which is now possible : (B)whose cure is unable (C)whose cure is a recent recovery : 答案:(A),為何不可選(B)=>疾病的治療? 基本上疾病是事物不是人，所以關代還是用which會比whose好另外你選B的話，我會覺得unavailable比unable好而文法上一樣還原成兩句看 (1)She has been suffering from a kind of disease. (2)The cure for the disease is now possible. 重複的地方是disease但換成關代which後，連同前面介系詞for一起往前移出現的關代子句就是答案囉 the cure for the disease中的for後面加用途或對象這也算是要盡量背起來的介係詞用法可以幫助判斷 : 6.The teacher-----is at the desk over there. : (A)you should talk to (B)you are talk to (C)whom you talking to : 答案:(A),為何不可選(C)? 選項C少一個are→whom you are talking to 而且文意上也很奇怪你正在跟這個老師講話的話他怎麼會又跑到那裡的桌子旁邊 : 7.Mac-Arthur controls a thousand men,-------must obey his orders in both war : and peace. : (A)all of whom (B)all of who (C)all of which : 答案:(A),空格後有缺受詞嗎? 為何是選(A)? 一樣還原成兩句看 (1)Mac-Arthur controls a thousand men. (2)All of them(就是那1000人) must obey his orders in both war and peace. 接下來用關代合併重複的那1000人，因為位置在of後面，所以要用whom 另外這裡的合併也可不用關代，那就簡單的用and連接兩句子就好反正關係代名詞的功能，本來就是連接詞與代名詞兼具如果已經用了and來連接，還有用them來代替重複字，就不用用whom : 8.He was a foreigner,--------they perceived from his accent. : (A)that (B)what (C)as (D)whom : 答案:(C),該題不明白為何選(C)!! 要先知道perceive A as B 的用法是把A認為是B 如果以一般的關代用法去思考應該是選whom吧但是關代融入了as就像前面提過的準關代那樣了原本有背過這個片語用法的人應該滿容易猜吧~ : 9.My father has made me-----I am. : (A)who (B)what (C)that : 答案:(B),what前不是不何有名詞嗎!!(C)為何不行選? what前面不是不能有名詞，而是不能有先行詞如果what前面的名詞不是屬於先行詞，就沒關係這題應該從文意上來看比較快~「我父親使我成為了現在這樣的一個人」「現在這樣的一個人」就是what I am當make的受詞補語而make +O +OC 句型中的OC可以是很多型態(形容詞、分詞、名詞、介系詞片語等) : 10.I will invite------my daughter loves. : (A)whoever (B)whomever (C)whichever (D)whatever : 答案:(B),空格後有缺受詞嗎?有為何(A)不行呢? whomever my daughter loves→loves的受詞就是whomever啊~ 有B的時候A相對就不是最佳答案 : 11.A man has a right to spend his money-----he pleases. : (A)how (B)in which (C)why (D)for which : 答案:(A),為何(D)不可以選呢? 搭配用法不適合用for吧這裡的please我覺得應該是不及物動詞的"喜歡"或"意願" how he pleases是關係副詞子句，how是表示方法的關係副詞原句中文：一個人有權利以他喜歡的方式花錢 : 12.--------might have been expected, he refused our request. : (A)What (B)As (C)That which : 答案:(B),為何(A)不可以選呢? 一樣是原本關代的用法融入了as，這裡的as譯為"就像" 原本可以寫成 He refused our request, which might have been expected. which代表前面的整件事情，中文意思就是「他拒絕了我們的請求，這件事是已被預期的」但是融入as的意思就變成了準關代用法，而中文意思就變成「他拒絕了我們的請求，就像已被預期的那樣」 : 13.He is my son,------a better son does not exist. : (A)but (B)than who (C)against whom (D)than whom : 答案:(D),空格後有缺受詞嗎?有為何(B)不行呢? : 感謝~ 先還原成兩句 (1)He is my son.
