Actually there is no such a usage "double-edged sword" to describe things always have their pros and cons, as far as I know. But still, I want to use it as a metaphor to describe the relation between me and my friend. I wonder if there is anyone on this board ever get into such a dilemma, catch-22 situation that your friend or you classmate often talks with you during class, distracting your attention from lectures. For me, in the early beginning, I had a hard time handling this issue. But with the maturing of both my age and mind, I learn how to reject such an "unsolicited" talk without ruining our friendship. Tonight our class, focusing on speaking, may be seperated into groups. I hope my partner could be kind, willing to learn and of the same level as me. If he or she speaks sooooooooo fluently, I will be all delight yet feel pressured. Whatsover, the bottom line is I hope that we can hit it off XD -- ※ 發信站: 批踢踢實業坊(ptt.cc) ◆ From: 124.218.96.178
