各位好，請教一下
我在英語論壇提了一個問題

內容是：
網友tedmc寫了一段文字，幾個小時以後，另一個網友YAMATO2201說:
Do you mean "... which you alone have a share in or are entrusted with"?
我想問的是，這裡用Did/Do you mean ...哪個比較好？
查了一下網路資料，我說
a. Do you mean "... which you alone have a share in or are entrusted with"?
b. Did you mean "... which you alone have a share in or are entrusted with"?
Here are my thoughts:
(a) is used as a response to something that someone is saying/writing now, or
just said/wrote.
(b) is used as a response to something that someone said/wrote in the past
(some time ago).
But in the situation of my question, I don't know which one is more
appropriate.
Could you tell me your thoughts?

Posts are asynchronous but also resemble a conversation, so people may
respond as they would in speech to something posted a few hours ago.

不太懂Tdol想表達什麼？
我的翻譯：
貼文雖然不是在同一時間張貼，但卻像對話一樣，因此人們可能會用如同說話的方式一般
，去回應幾個小時前的貼文。
我理解這個句型的方式是：
people may respond (as they would in speech) to something ...
所以Tdol是說，雖然要回應的文章已經是幾個小時之前，但回文者是「剛看到」而已，
在這樣的情況下，就當成是剛剛發生的事情一樣，可以用Do you mean ...
請問我的解讀是否正確呢？謝謝。
（有時候覺得要理解英語使用者的思維還真不容易）
