[文法] 請問以下句子(困難)
1."Damien" received generally positive reviews and was viewed by 3.2 million
households when it was first broadcast, making it the highest rated cable
program the week it aired.
Damien是南方四賤客第一季的第十集的標題
這句話是從維基百科來的(所以我才會如此困擾)
我們都學過分詞構句，使用分詞構句的前提是前後句主詞要相同
可是這邊的making主詞很明顯是前面整件事情，而不是Damien
所以應該要改成......,which makes it the.....
(這邊的it就很明顯是指Damien)

This new route makes travel to the southern district easier and faster as
well as eases the congestion on the northern district
這句話是說有條鐵路通了帶來的好處。
主要的問題是as well as
在我的理解as well as是當作連接詞and的功能，所以eases用的正確，因為跟makes一樣
主詞都是This new route。可是有老師說，as well as後接動詞必須當作是介係詞
所以要改成making，何者對呢？

"I eat only two meals a day"
有老師說兩者意義不同，第一句代表是一天中只做這件事情
然而我問native speaker他說兩句意思一樣，而且第一句還比較自然
求解
