: 5.ran/was →請問這題答案應該用哪個字較恰當？感覺用ran和was似乎都可以

後來拿到了解答，發現第5題的正確答案是"runs"，
原本我用過去式ran或was當作答案，是因為看到該句句尾有"then"，
想請問版上的各位，這題用runs正確嗎？
