[求譯] 狄更斯小說內的幾句話
讀完Dickens的Hard Times後，有幾句不懂的地方，
想請版上大家幫忙解釋:
1. The question was unexpectedly and suddenly
answered for her, by the colourless boy, Bitzer,
who came around the corner with such blind speed
and so little anticipating a stoppage on the
pavement, "that he brought himself up against
Mr. Gradgrind's waistcoast and rebounded into the
road."
想請教的是""部分，是不是指男孩撞到了這位先生，
然後反彈到路上? 不是很懂"brought himself up"的意思
2. "Merrylegs and nine oils, eh!" said Mr. Bounderby,
entering last with his metallic laugh.
這裡的 metallic smile 是什麼樣的笑呢?
