1. 一般來說"有指定"的東西
e.g. the book (有指定的一本書)
e.g. a book (一本書，而且沒有指定是哪一本)
2. the + 普通名詞 > 可以有集合名詞的味道
e.g. A cat is not a dog. 貓不是狗 也就是a + n 也可以有集合名詞用法
The cat is not the dog. 貓不是狗 (但這種用法現在很少見了)
3. 一般來說專有名詞前面不加the，請注意，只是一般來說
e.g. in Taipei (而不是in the Taipei)
e.g. Tom (而不是the Tom，但有例外，例外就不講很少遇到)
(很多自然界的山，海，等等反而要加the
e.g. the Mississippi, the Yellow River, the sun...
但也有很多不加the，所以不用太認真去記，這是記不完的)
4. 後面有形容詞子句時
e.g. This is the building that I told you last night
5. 舊訊息
e.g. A: Is there a man standing behind the door?
B: Yes, the man is smoking there.
6. 場域特定意思
e.g. go to school (去上學，也就是"去學校+去上課的意思")
e.g. go to the school (去學校，但可能是找朋友，或是打球，或是...很多可能)
7. 特定字
e.g. the police 警方(複數)
e.g. the poor 窮人
e.g. the rich 有錢人
e.g. the blind 盲人
8. 不可數名詞雖然基本上不能加冠詞，但是有指定意思時可以加the
e.g. The money on the dest is yours
族繁不及備載，還有很多很多用法，目前只是我一時想到得。最常用的是第一種。
