※ 引述《NewWuman (不攻擊奇用謀兵詐)》之銘言： : 大家好 : 想請問一個問題﹔ : http://www.ego4u.com/en/cram-up/tests/conditional-sentences-4 : 下面的倒數第三題的題目: : We would take another route if they (close / not)____ the road. : 文中給的答案是had not closed。對這句其實有點疑惑因為他似乎不合邏輯 We would take another route if they had not closed the road. 這是一個設想過去的事件(if)如果不同，可能如何影響現在(we)的假設這種與事實相反的假設就如同字面上所說，與實際上發生的事正好相反 Which means they closed the road, so we don't have to take another route now. 就是這個推論讓我很納悶一般來說，會說這種話(原句)是為可能會發生的事先想好因應對策據此我的理解是: 依照句意判斷，說話者應該在擔心(他們常走的)路會被封閉因而設想如果路真的被封閉，他們將改走別條路(another route) 但原句呈現的反而是如果路沒被封閉，他們就改走別條路?! 這就像在說: If I had the money, I wouldn't buy the dress. 實際上: I don't have the money, and I will buy the dress. 一樣沒道理啊@@! 或許是剛考完期中我腦袋打結了...如果有不同想法歡迎理性開導我@@" 但撇開邏輯性不談，這句的假設用法是對的。 : 它的解釋是：Action in the past that has an influence on the present. : 我可以理解它的解釋。 : 我的問題是，如果填入didn't close是否也可行？ : main-clause => We would take another route => 現在(或將要) : if-clause => if they didn't close the road => 過去 : (如果(過去)他們沒有... ,那麼現在我們...) 感覺還滿符合語意的可以填入closed，這樣就變成設想與現在事實不同的可能的現在/未來結果 (抱歉我將原句改成我認為合理的敘述@@) If they closed the road, we would take another route.
