This is rather strange a usage of 'helping'.
Sometimes we do say 'we appreciate your helping us...' (informal)
Consider:
We appreciate your help in this research.
May we express our gratitude towards your help in this/the research.

At lunch, I talked with the nurse whom I met at the doctor's office.
The truth though, is that the use of the word 'whom' is in a
declining trend.

Except for Morgan and her, ...
