Wilburton giant solar farm connected to National Grid
http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-england-cambridgeshire-14218355
Amongst the wheat, a purple hangs. Not lilac, not lavender—light is
harvested here, a field of photovoltaic solar panels, PV for short.
這段講很快,很多不確定
For the rest of the year, ___ voltaic begged for solar and the small thing to
do you care to make them happen to meet the renewable targets they’ve got.
What the government said is, “we want PV to be here; we’ve wanted it to be
here for a long time... for them sent off in terms of for a kilo watt we are
to give you some sort of revenue for twenty five years, index linked, and

government back?”
****?
From above twenty thousand pounds, over thirty five acres, producing enough
energy for twelve hundred homes, this is the most powerful solar farm in the
country.
The important parts of these cells are these little white lines, that silicon
which collects the light—that causes a charge, which is then collected in
these black boxes and sent via cables to National Grid.
Wilburton and a factory roofed buckles in South offer us two big solar sites
in the East. So, are we better offered solar power, or wind?
The subsidy for solar is about seven times that of the wind turbines. So it’
s a dilemma: do you want wind turbines? Or do you want more costly, renewable
energy from solar?
Wind farms have triggered protests. Nothing like here, said developers.
You can see these things. They’re up to two meters high. They’re not
moving. They’re not making any noise. And this sight, most sights, no one
can really sear.
Across Germany and other parts of the continent, solar farms like this are a
common place. It is likely more would appear in this ____, but are we
prepared to pay for them?
