念英文數字是有邏輯的，請看逗號位置
2,401,346,574
^ billion
^ million
^ thousand
2, = two billion
401, = four hundred and one million
346, = three hundred and forty-six thousand
574 = five hundred and seventy-four
這樣一段念下來有好幾個and也無所謂
然後一般在 hundred 之後會有個 and
如112 = one hundred and twelve
可以不放and是 1)中間沒有0 2)念的快 (也就是懶)
如401幾乎沒人念four hundred one，都會念four hundred and one
而471平常該念four hundred and seventy one
但你如果懶，或是金髮碧眼不怕被笑英文差，就可能念 four hundred seventy-one
嚴格上算錯，但也很常見
並且一般念(金額類)數字不會有zero出現
401=four hundred and one 不會是 four hundred zero one
4,001=four thousand and one
[除非金額是0，如 your balance is zero dollars (您帳戶餘額為0元)]
但念號碼類數字就會有 zero
如:請撥 0926-xxx-xxx等你呦~ (XD)
= please call zero nine two six...
另外"千"常會被念為"十百"，在金額方面是完全可以接受的
如4,200=four thousand two hundred 或是 forty-two hundred
但這僅限"千"
4,200,000就不會念成forty-two hundred thousand
