[文法] 不知怎麼判斷理解某個句子
原句如下:
It is a recognition that teaching takes up a moral stance for it is concerned
(,)~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
with developing the students' moral awareness of themselves and others, and
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
is ultimately concerned not so much with the immediate task in hand but with
an attitude towards life.
我想求教的是。有兩種理解出來的答案,讓我困惑。
一種是以波浪符號來表示句子結構。teaching takes up a moral stance
是整個用來指涉recognition的名詞子句,
至於後面的for則是當連接詞,屬於其他子句了。大家可以想像stance與for之間暫時省略
了一個逗號。
另外一種理解以黃色字體表示句子結構,亦即,
後面整個一長串都是用來指涉recognition的名詞子句,
而teaching takes up a moral stance for it只是這整個名詞大子句中,
以另一個名詞小子句形態出現,來作為名詞大子句中的主語,
而名詞大子句中的大動詞,就是is了。
到底哪種理解是合乎文法?或者兩種都有可能合乎文法?懇請高手不吝說明...感恩...
