非常難講。大多數狀況下其實兩者可混用。
從語感方面仔細判斷,我的結論如下:
Cumulative較被用在"持續疊加"的程序/狀況上
Years of cumulative neglect have made this once proud mansion a decrepit shell.
多年的忽視使這曾光輝一時的豪宅變成了破爛的空殼。
[多年"持續"忽視 -> 光輝變破爛]
accumulative則較被用在"疊加完"的結果上
Years of accumulative neglect have resulted in ankle-deep garbage.
多年的忽視導致垃圾淹沒腳踝。
[多年持續忽視的"結果" -> 垃圾堆]
