Proportional control (P) can reduce error responses to disturbances but
remain nonzero steady-state error to constant input.
Proportional to integral of error (I) can eliminate steady-state error
but get worse in dynamic response.
Proportional to derivative of error (D) can improve dynamic response but
may make system unstable.
This is the intoduction of PID controller in Franklin's book,
may this have some effort to your problem :)
