"Why do we fall, Bruce?"
"So we can learn to pick ourselves up."
These are my favorite lines in The Dark Knight Trilogy
directed by Christopher Nolan.
Why? Because it's so optimistic and encouraging to some extent.
However, it runs counter to the way I think.
I oft think about the undesirable outcome of one thing; but,
it does not mean I'm a pessimist. I'm just more practical.
At least, that's how I see myself.
'Cause I know desperation usually comes from expectation.
Accordingly, I understand why I'm not confident in myself because
I'm afraid that the sense of loss will strike me onece again.

I read John Green's The Fault in Our Stars last year.
To be frank, the novel does not impress me, and yet I agree
with one sentence Green writes-
"Our world is not a wish-granting factory."
Of course!
This is so true especially when I lost 1400 on ptt gambling today.
Com'on! I still dunno why I always get the wrong numbers. lol.
