For four rehab starts overall, Darvish has allowed six hits and four runs, two
earned, in 14 innings. He has 15 strikeouts with five walks.

Darvish broke out his slow curveball in this game. He went into the game not i
ntending to focus on the pitch but kept throwing it because of the hitters' re
actions.
"I was pitching to game situations," Darvish said. "The hitters were not hitti
ng my curveball, so I threw the curveball. It was just the game.''
Darvish will make at least one more rehab start, probably at Frisco on Sunday.
He is on course to return to the Rangers' rotation during a home series again
st Pittsburgh on May 27-29, but nothing has been set.
