In .nl you can end up paying lots of money to customs if it isn't clear that 1) the hardware is used (second hand) and 2) it愀 for a private person (non-commercial entity) and 3) not bought. Other dutchies on these lists might know more about this. But it's still thoughtful to mention that customs might become an issue and that the donor and the person donated to should think about this when shipping stuff abroad.
