But racing all possible terminal (emulators) to grab their changes is a definite no-go. There is such a nifty feature like setting TERMCAP environment so that the termcap entry corresponding to TERM is overridden. Sad thing tho that ssh doesn't pass along TERMCAP, but only TERM. This bit me several times when ssh'ing inside of a screen session... One day i'll hack ssh (not that complicated) if there is a chance to get that included somewhere (at least DragonFly) cheers simon -- /"\ \ / \ ASCII Ribbon Campaign / \ Against HTML Mail and News --Apple-Mail-3--1065173413 content-type: application/pgp-signature; x-mac-type=70674453; name=PGP.sig content-description: This is a digitally signed message part content-disposition: inline; filename=PGP.sig content-transfer-encoding: 7bit -----BEGIN PGP SIGNATURE----- Version: GnuPG v1.2.4 (Darwin) iD8DBQFBKQB/r5S+dk6z85oRAr6QAJ0XTfVkU+MFBZjoK0NGfMmozk+QRQCdHMhb wrR/Qr/bwKWIlJyapiSED24= =PrHz -----END PGP SIGNATURE----- --Apple-Mail-3--1065173413--
