Yes. Unfortunately. I say that because I think it's really silly
for GCC to try to run those optimizations, I can't imagine that any
noticeable performance improvement would ever come of it, but if
it's going to do that for normal optimization levels then I guess
we have to deal with it. WARNS=99 anyone? :-)
