: That could cause an issue. For the bootstrap we are trying to use a
: pure PATH, and there are probably a bunch of places where date +<fmt>
: is used. I'd leave it in.
Forget I said that. It's clear it would be too much work to try to
get the new date to compile on an older system. But be careful
of the options you pass to date.
