[issue1542] bad crypto performance (using openssl)

Well I have i386 working, but I'm getting the following error with x86_64:

`OPENSSL_cpuid_setup' can not be used when making a shared object; recompile

Stop in /home/pavalos/pavalos/secure/lib/libcrypto.
