:Hi there, :I have still the same problem with -CURRENT. Tried to use it some time :ago, but becouse of that problem I had to :go back to -RELEASE. Today I've tried build into -C to check, if maybe :it works after so many changes. : :Unfortunatelly, still not. The problem is - when I'm using my ppp :connection (ADSL with Thompson modem, :using software from net/pppoa port and modem's firmware) all works :great, unless I'm not trying to compile :anything. In that case the whole net connection halts (without :disconnect), and after finishing compiling all works. : :Nothing in log, some time ago it was one message there - 'too many ECHO :LQR requests' and disconnect . I've put out LQR from my :/etc/ppp/ppp.conf - connection is still active, but really it cannot be :used. : :Ideas? : :-- :Bartek Stalewski // werbat@DragonFlyBSD.pl My guess is that pppd is still in an infinite 'R'un loop, since we haven't tracked that bug down from the previous report. If it is then it's dynamic priority will be greatly reduced, causing it to stop dead in its tracks if something else is using the cpu (like a compile). -Matt Matthew Dillon <dillon@backplane.com>
