So Bulls GM John Paxson was surprised to get a polite “Thanks, but no thanks”from free-agent power forward Corie Blount on Friday. The Bulls are looking to add a big man to their playoff roster, now that Eddy Curry is officially out for the season with an irregular heartbeat.Blount ’s agent, Mark Bartelstein, said the two-time ex-Bull had some family conflicts and didn’t think he could drop everything to join the Bulls immediately. 主要是說Corie Blount拒絕了公牛的邀請參加星期天的測試,那原因一方面其實跟公牛處的不是很愉快,對Skiles有些不滿,而公牛上一季在3/2把他釋出 (根據規定,未在3/1前釋出,即使而後加入其他球隊,在那季都無法參加季後賽)也是耿耿於懷, 另一方面他也表示無法立刻這麼突然加入公牛隊。 (said the two-time　ex-Bull had some family conflicts?不大懂這個意思) Blount is fully recovered from ankle surgery in the fall and has been working out with University of Cincinnati players, according to Bartelstein. With Blount out of the picture, the Bulls turned their attention to former Sacramento power forward Lawrence Funderburke. Blount has 37 NBA playoff games under his belt, compared to 21 for Funderburke. In six years with the Kings, the former Ohio State star averaged 6.4 points and 3.6 rebounds. Funderburke appeared in just 27 games during the 2002-03 season, then didn’t play last year after having surgery to repair his left Achilles’tendon in September 2003. He was waived by the Kings on Feb. 23, 2004. 這邊主要是說Funderburke過去在NBA的表現,有興趣的自己看吧...:) Stay on the bench: Scott Skiles gave a terse answer before Friday’s game when asked if season-long super-subs Tyson Chandler and Ben Gordon could become starters. “After the Washington game, I find it odd that could have been a question,” Skiles said, referring to Chandler’s first-quarter ejection. “Because of some of the youthful things he still does, if we lose him early in a game, we’re normally in trouble at the end of games. “Somebody a lot smarter than me would have to explain the rationale how that would make any sense.
