You may be intent on cheering someone up. This isn't a temporary remedy you're after though - this is someone who may seem to be chronically unhappy. You may know this because this person complains, or talks about myriad problems, or just seems to sulk quite a bit. You may be on a mission to make this person happy because you are deeply empathic and you hate to see anyone unhappy. However, Moonchild, it may be that this individual actually likes being unhappy and all of the attention it gathers.
