Valencia defender Emiliano Moretti has dubbed his teammates “indefensible”
after the appalling brawl that marred their game with Inter.
Valencia後衛 Moretti對於其隊友在賽後駭人的鬥毆表示『無法辯解』。
“We lost another good opportunity to give an example to the fans.
With so much talk of eliminating the hooligans from stadiums,
it doesn't help if we're the worst of the bunch,” sighed the Italian.
他說：「我們失去了另一個給球迷當榜樣的好機會，
有那麼多杜絕球場暴力的討論，如果我們是當中最糟糕的一群實在沒有幫助。」
A huge fight broke out on the field after the final whistle in which
Nicolas Andre Burdisso had his nose broken by a punch from David Navarro,
who had been on the bench.
終場哨後爆發大混戰，替補席上的 Navarro衝到場上打斷了 Burdisso的鼻樑。
“At the final whistle I ran to hug Roberto Ayala, but turned and saw
50 people on the field. I couldn't understand what was happening and
tried to separate people, but seeing the images it is absolutely absurd.”
Moretti：「終場哨後我跑去擁抱 Ayala，但是一轉身就看見５０個人在場上，
我無法理解發生了什麼事，只是嘗試把人分開，不過場上的景象是完全荒謬的。」
“Navarro is a perfectly normal guy and I really don't understand
what got into him. I am his teammate, but I can't exactly defend
him seeing what he did,” added ex-Parma and Fiorentina defender Moretti.
「Navarro是個完全正常的人，我實在不知道什麼事惹毛了他，
我是他的隊友，但是看到他做的事，我不能為他辯駁。」
The ill feeling continued outside the stadium,
as fans threw rocks at the Inter team bus.

Valencia qualified for the Champions League quarter-finals on
the away goals rule after a 2-2 draw in Milan and the goalless second leg.
“I think it was a very tight tie and we were lucky enough to score
at San Siro, but if you look over the two balanced matches,
you'll see there was little between them. It would not have been
a disgrace if we had gone out.”

Inter could be in for Champions League expulsion after the riot that marred
their exit at the Mestalla, as more details are emerging on what happened.

The Nerazzurri were already on a warning from UEFA after the 2005 derby
with Milan was abandoned due to the fans throwing flares on to the pitch,
one of which struck goalkeeper Nelson Dida.
2005歐冠的米蘭德比，球迷朝場內丟擲煙火，擊中 Milan門將 Dida，
比賽因此中斷，Inter當時就已經被歐足聯警告過了。
They had to play their first four home games behind closed doors
this season and were handed a record ￡132,000 fine, but this latest
incident will bring back calls for the club to be expelled.

It is still not entirely clear what started the melee in Valencia,
but at the final whistle Nicolas Andre Burdisso entered into an argument
with Carlos Marchena.

As teammates were pulling them apart, David Navarro came off the bench
and threw a punch at Burdisso that fractured the Argentine's nose.

This sparked a furious reaction, as Julio Ricardo Cruz, Ivan Cordoba
and Douglas Maicon chased Navarro across the pitch.
此舉引發強烈反擊，Cruz、Cordoba、Maicon在場上狂追 Navarro。
He was spotted on camera running back down the players' tunnel with
a smile on his face and this further angered the Nerazzurri players.
Navarro被攝影機拍到跑回球員通道時臉上的微笑，這進一步觸怒了 Inter球員。
It is now emerging that the brawl continued inside the arena,
as Francesco Toldo dived in to the Valencia locker room to reach Navarro
and Esteban Cambiasso and Luis Figo tried to force their way in after him.
爭吵持續在場內進行，Toldo閃進了 Valencia休息室找 Navarro算帳，
Cambiasso、Figo嘗試強行突破好跟著 Toldo進去。
The security forces had to intervene and Coach Roberto Mancini
was seen trying to lead his men away, but the situation had degenerated
to such a degree that there was little he could do.
保全介入，Mancini試著要帶隊離開，但是情勢太壞，他能做得不多。
After the chaos had died down, Inter confirm that Valencia director
of sport Amedeo Carboni went to personally offer his apology to
his Nerazzurri counterpart Ernesto Paolillo for Navarro's behaviour.
混亂告終後，Inter證實 Valencia體育總監 Carboni有前去，
為 Navarro的行為致上個人的歉意。
Inter President Massimo Moratti has told the media that
a UEFA representative came into the locker room to speak
with Burdisso and evaluate the situation.
Inter老闆 Moratti告訴媒體有位歐足聯官員到更衣室跟 Burdisso談話好衡量狀況。
Thankfully, there was no crowd trouble between fans, but the Inter
team bus was pelted with rocks as it parked outside the Mestalla.
所幸球迷間沒有惹出麻煩，不過 Inter球隊大巴在場外被狂丟石頭。
