因為這原本是兩個句子
Many people got injured in the area.和
The earthquake hit the area.
你這個題目是第二句當第一句the area的關係子句
所以變成Many people got injured in the area （which ）the earthquake hit.
如果是第一句當第二句的the area關係子句
才會變成你想的
The earthquake hit the area (where=in which) many people got injured.
