Riggleman expects Chien-Ming Wang to be ready in May TAMPA - Based on the fact right-hander Chien-Ming Wang only threw an inning in his first action of the spring, manager Jim Riggleman said this morning he doesn't expect to see the pitcher ready for the majors until May. "He threw an inning yesterday and said, 'That's enough,'" Riggleman said. "That doesn't sound like he's on pace to get ready for April." Wang, who is trying to return from shoulder surgery that's kept him out most of the last two seasons, was slated to go two innings in an intrasquad game on Friday, but cut his outing short after feeling arm stiffness on a windy day in Viera. "I'm sure he'll crank it up the day after tomorrow in a bullpen session, but he's got a ways to go," Riggleman said. "The thing we keep having to remind ourselves is, this was a devastating injury. We're in uncharted waters here. I think there are still pins in (his shoulder) and stuff. This is not a surgery that's routine.
