The problem is:
md5sums and sizes on http://www.libpng.org/pub/png/libpng.html
do not match sourceforge mirrors and ftp.simplesystems.org etc.
libpng.org: 641193 bytes for libpng-1.2.27.tar.bz2
ftp.simplesystems.org and sourceforge: 804821 bytes
