Miller It seemed like once the Boston Red Sox signed Mike Cameron and John Lackey ,they had said goodbye to outfielder Jason Bay and GM Theo Epstein had intimated just that during a press conference. But now comes word through the WEEI that the Red Sox are considering making an offer to Bay that would be higher than its original four-year, $60 million one. The New York Mets have an offer on the table to Bay worth about $65 million for four years. The team hasn't heard from Bay's reps for a few days,according to the New York Daily News. The San Francisco Giants and Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim are also supposedly interested in bringing on Bay.
