Signing Roy to a long-term deal just to make the fans think they were trying hard was illogical. Who cares what fans think- they will fill the stadium as long as the team is competitive. I love the Blazers and I respect Roy, but it was a big mistake to sign him to a long-term deal when his health was in question. But the Blazers learned nothing- they just extended Greg Oden’s deal when the guy has proved absolutely nothing to them. Owners and players are both responsible for this lockout. All it takes is a handful of owners to give giant contracts to guys like Joe Johnson, and it forces everyone to shell out the big bucks. The league cannot be profitable if guys like David West and Carlos Boozer walk away from teams like Utah and New Orleans. If Roy had walked away, and then been signed to a long-term deal in another city, and then become injured, Pritchard would have looked like a genius. GM跟球團只會考慮球隊競爭力而不會去管球迷怎麼看待我是拓荒者的球迷也尊敬Roy，但是當時Roy有傷的問題還跟他簽下長約這麼作實在不合常理，而且這是個錯誤現在Oden也是類似的狀況，卻又走上同樣的路這次封館，老闆跟球員都有責任只有少數大市場的球隊才能提供大約給...Joe Johnson、David West、Carlos Boozer 這樣的球員，如此惡性競爭造成聯盟難以獲利 (最後一句有引戰意味) 如果Roy去到別隊，簽了長約才受傷，KP才像是個睿智的GM 最後，我曉得板友都愛戴KP跟Roy，我也愛看Roy運球切入但我不曉得當時Roy說法是什麼，感覺是KP感受到來自球迷的負面評論球團最後還是決定一賭，放下Roy的傷痛問題跟他簽長約... 並不是留下Roy不好(球迷都愛看)，但是這幾年膝蓋傷那麼嚴重的Roy 用頂薪留他5年，對拓荒者未來補強或續約都會是個隱憂(像是明年的G蛙) 要是未來CBA談到後來，結果確定硬薪資上限受限...Roy還是很難留得住 Player 2011/12 2012/13 2013/14 2014/15 Brandon Roy $14,940,153 $16,359,805 $17,779,458 $19,199,110 Gerald Wallace $10,650,000 $11,437,500 ... .. .
