[情報] 2020 Draft 綠帽版
今年因為Coronavirus,選秀最後變成只有五輪,簽約金更是大幅延遲給付:
超過五輪的可以無限量以20k簽下,slot values 和'19年完全一樣,但球員今年最多拿到
$100K, 明後年七月各拿一半剩下的部分.(https://bit.ly/2BBksni)
明顯的無法吸引HS player進職業, College player會回去念senior,不過老闆們比較關心
的是沒錢的問題...簽約deadline延遲至Aug 1 (physicals會變得相當麻煩..)
球隊不可以設draft rooms.無法做in-person scouting,取而代之的是看官方給的video...

依球探共識今年的品質相當不錯.第一輪後段質量好,不少大學P(幾隻'17沒簽的HS投手
也仍然在第一輪)以綠帽以前的做法跟著抽一隻大學P機率不小..
今年沒多少球賽資料無法update,在缺乏資料的情形下準確度應受相當影響(如果以後看回
來2020反而比較準就好玩了) 對球隊來講使用有限的資料也是挑戰

本來已偏重College的風潮今年對HS side更加不利.
聽說一些Clubs打算給steep discounts的bonus - 他們不收頂多明年再選,錢還可以省下
來幫助球隊其他支出..
以綠帽本身來說先發生球探和operations department furlough/pay cut,後又開第一槍
不給小聯盟球員stipend,對獲得球員已有不小影響(news:正在寫這篇的時候政策大轉彎:

另外Dan Kantrovitz被挖去Cubs做scouting director(通常升到asst.GM不太會又回去
當scouting director,據說是他想搞scout...) 也是內部影響的因素.

今年少數的true shortstop, smooth defender, quick hands.
棒子上就比較不確定: good feel to hit, simple swing, line drive contact to all
fields. Tools上是不錯但是今年沒機會測試他的打擊..

21.Austin Wells L/R C/1B
Bat-first catcher. Simple swing, good bat control and power to all fields.
Plus plate discipline. Concerns about his fringy defense, display more of a
fringy arm, may move to 1B/OF.
Perform well in Cape Cod League. Very young (age 20.334 on draft day)
Draft-eligible sophomore (have leverage to go back to school)

26.Tanner Burns RHP
92-97 mph fastball, above average slider and changeup, above average command
for all pitches. Questions about his size and durability.
綠帽向來喜歡的型(Sonny Gray,Daulton Jefferies...)但能不能在#26見到是個不小的問

29.Nick Loftin R/R SS
Consistent performer. Average to above average but not plus tools.
Should be able to stay at SS. Versatility(started games at five positions).
Do everything well. Safe bet.
過去綠帽的喜歡型, Logan Davidson的相反物.應該是掉得下來但是如果有其他好物的情況
下最好只是備案...

37.Bryce Jarvis RHP
Draft-eligible sophomore last year but went back to school.
New mid-90s fastball (working on pitch design at the Driveline facility,
working on building strength at Cressey Sports Performance

沒去Cape Cod League去修練大幅提升了stuff,今年只能丟四場無法測試出完整球季是否會

58.Clayton Beeter RHP
Draft-eligible sophomore. Up to 98mph fastball.70 or 80 grade hammer power
curveball. Solid slider and changeup.
Very limited track record. Missed 2019 with TJ.
One of the biggest risers.
Stuff看起來是很吸引人,track record卻是比Bryce Jarvis還短,完全取決於要不要相信
那四場先發...

Improved command.
30.Chris McMahon RHP mid 90s fastball, above average slider and
changeup. Higher floor and stronger track record.
32.Slade Cecconi RHP Plus fastball touches 98mph, plus slider.
Better pure stuff and ceiling.
33.Jordan Westburg R/R SS power-over-hit, 55 power and speed.
Higher strikeout rate
36.Justin Foscue 2B/3B above-average hitter, better track records,
higher floor.
