Notes: Street placed on disabled list
KANSAS CITY -- The Athletics will have to take a different street to close
games for at least the next two weeks.

They placed Huston Street on the 15-day disabled list on Sunday with a
right groin strain. Street, who hurt the groin in the eighth inning of
the second game of a doubleheader on Friday, returned to Oakland on Sunday
and will have an MRI on Monday.

"This would be kind of a safe route to go," Athletics manager Ken Macha
said about putting Street on the disabled list, after he talked with
general manager Billy Beane.
