Eduardo has expressed his sadness at leaving Arsenal, but has thanked the
club for all their help.

The Croatia international ended a three-year stint with the Gunners on
Wednesday when he completed a ￡6million move to Ukrainian champions Shakhtar
Donetsk.

The 27-year-old admits it was wrench parting company with the Premier League
outfit, especially after they helped to nurse him back to full health
following a horrific injury.

Eduardo suffered a badly broken leg during a meeting with Birmingham in
February 2008, halting him in his tracks and preventing him from making the

emotional for me.

"Arsenal is a very special football club and I will miss so many people - my

"When I first came to England, I could not speak the language and knew
nobody, but as soon as I arrived I was made to feel at home and part of this

"I had some very difficult times with my injury, but Arsenal was always there
for me - the medical staff, the management, the players and the supporters.
