Van Persie in fitness race to face Spurs

Robin Van Persie has 24 hours to prove he is ready to make a dramatic return
for Arsenal tomorrow night.
Robin Van Persie 有一天的時間來證明自己準備好，以戲劇般地返回球場參賽。
Dutch striker van Persie has resumed full training and Arsene Wenger is
considering putting him on the bench for the north London derby against Spurs
and using him as a supersub.
荷蘭籍射手 van Persie 已回到正常訓練，教授 也考慮在明晚對上 Spurs 北倫敦德比戰
安排他在替補席，並作為超級替補。
Van Persie's return would be a massive tonic for the Gunners, even if he is
way short of having full match fitness after being out for the past five
months since rupturing ankle ligaments during an international friendly in
Italy.
Van Persie 的回歸，帶給 槍手 精神上很大的鼓舞，即使還不足以踢完整賽事，特別是
在國際友誼賽對上 Italy 時被弄斷腳踝韌帶，缺席了五個月之久。
Arsenal have struggled without him, somehow staying in the title race without
their star striker and the Dutchman is now desperate to come back for the
final run-in.
在失去他後，Arsenal 仍奮鬥至今，甚至仍在爭冠行列之中，現在荷蘭人渴望回到場上

Wenger's men can go second on Wednesday night and are still very much in the
hunt with Manchester United and leaders Chelsea.

Van Persie has been sharp in training and astounded his team-mates with his
level of fitness and may now get a place on the bench if he can convince
Wenger he is fit enough and reports no more problems in training.

Van Persie only trained fully for the first time with his team-mates last
Friday and must complete today's session and then be assessed before tomorrow

It would represent a major risk for Wenger, who gambled and lost on bringing
William Gallas back too soon after injury, while captain Cesc Fabregas also
suffered a broken leg in the Champions League just four days after sustaining
another injury.

The news comes as part of a double boost for Arsenal as veteran Sol Campbell,
35, is fit and desperate to play at White Hart Lane where he is guaranteed a
hostile reception.
同時另一個好消息是，Arsenal 老將 Sol Campbell (35歲)可以上場，且渴望在 White
Hart Lane，即使會受到敵意的回應。
(因為 Sol Campbell 以前是在 Spurs 踢球，卻轉到同城死敵 Arsenal，球迷不能諒解)
Campbell, who missed last week's Champions League defeat at Barcelona because
of a tight hamstring, has assured Wenger he is ready for the biggest test
since his return to the Emirates.
Campbell 因肌腱之故而不能參與上週歐冠對 Barcelona 的競賽，但這次向教授保證他
已經準備好踢這場賽事。
Former Tottenham defender Campbell, expected to partner Thomas Vermaelen in
Arsenal's defence, has never been forgiven by Spurs fans for leaving in the
first place to join their bitter north London rivals.
前任 Tottenham 後衛 Campbell，預定會搭配 Thomas Vermaelen 作為 Arsenal 後防，
仍未得 Spurs 球迷的諒解，只因為他離開球隊的第一後衛而加入令他們討厭的 Arsenal.
Arsenal also face a fitness doubt over Alex Song, who missed last week's trip
to Barcelona with a knee injury.
Arsenal 仍面臨 Alex Song 是否可以上場的質疑，因為膝傷而錯失上次的 Barcelona 賽
事。
Carlos Vela, who also missed out on Barcelona after losing his passport, was
forced to train on his own while the other players had time off by way of
punishment and will have to sweat on his return to the squad.
Carlos Vela，也同樣缺席 Barcelona 只因為弄丟護照，被罰以自行訓練即使隊友都在休
息時間，必須拼命般地練習才有機會回到陣容裡。

不過，我想替補足矣。
