繁殖缸內建議種植闊葉的水草，像是皇冠草(sword plants)。個人飼養經驗：生存日數98天，飼養在26公分的立方缸，室友有高山金線蝦、台灣產槍蝦與蜜蜂蝦，植物為一株小榕。平時吃小榕及缸壁的上的藻類，似乎也會吃薄片飼料，最後體色變白後陣亡，當時推測是水質變差的關係。參考資料： Roberto E. Reis. 2004.
