這兩個東東和 AVG付費版才有的 Web Shield差別在哪裡?
如果使用者安裝了 AVG LinkScanner會有所謂的『網頁防護』功能嗎??

I use AVG free 8.5.409. I have the Linkscanner, SearchShield, and Active
SurfShield enabled (but no AVG toolbar installed).
A friend of mine with the paid version of AVG had a Web Shield warning for a
website we both visit, however I did not get a warning at all (and have
visited that site many times with all recent updates). She will contact AVG
with a link to the webpage so it can be checked for being a false positive.
I'm a bit concerned that SurfShield didn't give me the same warning. Can
someone please explain what the difference is between the Active
SurfShield in the free version, and the Web Shield in the paid version
is?
(I know that this forum is run by volunteer users, not AVG technologies, but
hopefully someone can help).

Hi,
AVG LinkScanner (in both Free and Pro AVG version) is using LinkScanner
database (know-how of Exploit Prevention Labs) with specialization to web
injections/scripts/...
AVG WebShield is using AVG virus database (the same as Resident Shield or
Scan) to check the files before they are downloaded to your computer
(desktop, temp, ... folders).

As I said, AVG Free which does not have the Webshield just lets the bad file
though. Isn't the AVG Search-Shield still supposed to stop stuff like this
with the free version?

You are a bit confused on the Linkscanner components and what they provide...
Search-Shield actually checks the search results on search engines such as
Google, Yahoo etc to see if they have been reported as malware related. It
isn't an active scan, its a lookup type of protection to see if the returned
link has been found to be a risk.
Surf-Shield actually checks the webpages themselves for known exploits,
phishing and those types of threats.
Web-Shield, part of the pro/paid versions actually tests the files
themselves. So this is one of the many advantages the paid products provide
over the basic protection the Free version has.

雖然說 AVG Free版沒有 Web Shield多作一層保護
但是瀏覽網路的過程中所產生的暫存檔
在進入到硬碟的暫存資料夾之後
還是會經過 Resident Shield的即時掃描這一關
所以不曉得這個 Web Shield實際上帶來多大的效果?
小紅傘 Avira AntiVir Personal免費版
也不帶 WebGuard這種網頁防護功能
所以有沒有『網頁防護』的設計
防護的成效上應該是會有決定性的差別?
所以
如果選用不具備 Web Shield或 WebGuard的免費防毒軟體
像是小紅傘個人免費版
如果搭配使用 LinkScanner這一類的工具
似乎可以補一些不足～

PS: LinkScanner內帶有 AVG Toolbar（AVG防護工具列）
這個工具列在 AVG Anti-Virus 9 Free安裝的過程中是可以選擇不安裝的
但是如果單獨使用這個連結的 AVG LinkScanner 8.5 免費版
不曉得是否仍然可以選擇不安裝 AVG防護工具列
這部份沒有試過所以無法確定^^a
