先說其實我對於Calakmul的歷史不是很熟悉。這座城市（Uxul）其實不算是超級強權的城市。同時，這座城市也是近年來才有比較多的考古收穫。所以基本上這座城市的統治世系跟大致的歷史發展都還不是很清楚。這座城市城市位於Campeche，在前古典晚期大城El Mirodor跟古典期晚期大城Calakmul附近。目前認為大概西元630年左右，Calakmul 打下了Uxul，並且開始統治這座城市，一直到西元705年左右，Calakmul 似乎漸漸沒有影響到這座城市。至於近年來Uxul最重要的考古收穫，大概就是去年發現的王子墳墓。墳墓中出土了一個喝東西用的陶杯。在陶杯上有銘文寫「陶杯所有人是王子（或可翻成男性）」日期大概是西元711年。但是由於不清楚Uxul的發展，目前也無法確定是王子的身份是Calakmul的貴族，還是當地的貴族。 ※ 引述《shinshong (鍋は人生の縮図である)》之銘言： : Beheaded Maya Massacre Victims Found : 發現馬雅時期被斬首的屠殺犧牲者 : Two dozen Maya war captives were beheaded, dismembered, and buried : unceremoniously some 1,400 years ago at the site of Uxul, an international : team reported on Tuesday. : 星期二，一個國際研究團隊發表，在墨西哥 Uxul 發現24名被斬首、肢解、亂葬的 : 馬雅戰俘，距今約1400年前。 : ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ 如果是這個時間，大約就是在Calakmul攻陷Uxul的前後時間點。所以，這24個骨骸的身份就相當有趣。如果是Uxul當地的貴族，那就很有可能是被Calakmul 的軍隊所殺害的本地貴族。如果不是，也有幾種可能，Calakmul攻陷後，再出兵附近城市，抓到的人送到Uxul獻祭。也有可能是Uxul的軍隊攻擊附近的小城市，然後獻祭。總之，還是要等到最後一段所說得鍶同位素分析，就大概可以知道這些人的居住區域。 : The victims were likely rulers of nearby towns at war with Uxul, located in : southern Mexico, or the dethroned rulers of the town itself, according to the : researchers. Their ages : at death ranged from 18 to 42.
