看展時，覺得這些句子很有感觸，就順手抄了下來
(後來才發現，其實歷史博物館網站有檔案可下載…
但我還是覺得在現場手抄，特別有感覺)
‧For my part I know nothing with any certainty, but the sight of the stars

對我來說，沒有什麼是我能確知的，但是映入眼簾的星星，能引發我的夢想。

人生就像是畫素描一樣：有時你必須行動明快果決，迅如閃電捕捉事物，描繪形貌。

在靈魂一角可能有著一座燃燒著熾熱火焰的火爐，然而無人前來取暖；
過客只瞥見煙囪的一抹輕煙，又匆匆繼續他們的旅程。
‧I dream of painting and then I paint my dream.
我夢想著繪畫，我畫我的夢想。
‧I want to do drawings which touch people...In figure or landscape I should
wish to express, not sentimental melancholy, but serious sorrow.
我想畫出觸動人心的素描……。我想透過人物或風景畫所表達的，不是傷感的憂
鬱，而是真摯的悲傷。
