We aim to have a bright and positive atmosphere where our staff will enjoy working.” As we work in the hospitality industry, we must understand that customers are the reason we exist. Serving customers well and making sure they come back to dine in our restaurant again is our first priority. We hope we can convey the common goal of our ultimate mission: working to provide customers the best possible dining experience with a caring attitude. We treat our customers as we would treat our family and friends. We don't simply live off of their tips; the very existence of our restaurant is dependent on our customers. Regardless of whether we receive any tips, we should always be improving our level of service to impress them. Any person whose level of service depends on the amount of tips received has a selfish mentality and becomes a concern to the company. This mentality violates our mission statement. Treating customers differently means the employee is working only for him/herself and does not treat this restaurant as their own. We hope all of us can be grateful to our customers because they sustain this restaurant, allowing us to make this a “home” for our employees. We hope that our employees are not only here for the money, but for a purpose to make ourselves and each other better people. For instance, if one day someone moves, goes off to college, or gets a job at Microsoft, we should all be happy for him/her in their new season of life. Our main concern should not be about having to hire again, but whether the person leaving left with gifts from the restaurant or not, and if they gained anything from their time spent here that has helped in preparing them for the next step in their life.
