"La plus que lente" (1946) was originally a waltz for solo piano,
but was transcribed by Jascha Heifetz for the violin.
It starts with a dreamy decadent melody in g major,
which starts to change and modulate through many brief passages into a grand theme in A major.
The music then reverts briefly to the starting theme before changing into a
restless constantly modulating section.
