The Havanaise (1887) by Camile Saint-Saens is his popular French concert piece
based on the rhythms and harmonies of the Spanish Habanera. The composition
consists of one multi-tempo movement titled "Allegretto lusinghiero-Allegro-Tempo
primo-Allegretto-Allegro non troppo-Più Allegro-Allegretto-Lento", with recurring themes.
