[選]試 譯 文：The first part of this paper ex-plores the very different ideas
framing the shift to an adult worker model family, at the European Union and
nation-state levels. These ideas tend to be dominated by economic
considerations, which means that the importance attached to the choices of
the individual are considered in relation to economic goals. In addition,
when gender equality is acknowledged it is often de-fined in a particular,
partial and instrumental way: in respect of the importance of labour mar-ket
participation, but not care work. This also serves to limit genuine choice.
