[微分] 一個微分符號+問題
有一個符號Duf(x,y)是什麼意思啊???
數上的定義
the directional derivative of f at (xo,yo)
in the direction of a unit vector
u = < a,b > is
Duf(xo，yo) = lim h-->0 {xo+ha,yo+hb)-f(xo,yo)/h} if this lim exist
看得懂嗎?? 希望有個微積分達人拯救我一下
James Stewart Calculus 5 Edition Answers 微積分課本的第977頁下面
如果可以978頁的那個也拜託一下了
解釋一下他的用法和意義就好了

問題:
Find the maximum of change of f at the given point and the direction in
which it occur
f(x,y)=sin(xy),(1,0)
解:
▽f(x,y)=<ycos(xy),xcos(xy)>,▽f(1,0) = <0,1>
∴the maximum of change of f is |▽f(1,0)|=1 in the direction <0,1>
^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^
