[註1] "r" 會影響長音[e] [i] 變成 [倒3] [I]
Ex. rare, air
here, beer, ear
[註2] U的長音一般來說是發[ju] Ex. new, cute
但若前面有"r","s"或2個子音則發[u] Ex. ruse, flue, suit, drew
[註3] 發長音[i]的~e是在人稱代名詞時 Ex. We, He, She, Me
[註4] ere發[倒3]的例外:there
[註5] ea發[倒3]的有很多 Ex. head, bread, read(past&pp), tear, bear, bear, wear
*tear的ea發音當"撕"的時候是[倒3], 當"眼淚"時是[I]

Phonics 並不是百分之百適用所有單字的發音, 許多外來字就不遵守自然發音規則
Ex. Charlotte, chef, Chanel, Chicago 這些ch不發"去" 而是"虛"...
